About Us

The Barn-B-Que was built in Oak Harbor Ohio during the early 1850s. Oak Harbor got its name due to the importance of the nearby Portage River and the large stands of virgin White Oak abundant in the area.

“Tasty ribs and brisket. House sweet sauce compliments meat well, but the meat is good all by itself with good seasoning and smoke. Sides of fries, okra, and onion rings were all good, served fresh and hot. Great old barn also.”

“I am not a huge fan of BBQ or maybe it's better said that I am very particular about BBQ. I loved my food and service here. The hostess (and bartender and server, since I was ordering to go) was very nice. I ordered a brisket sandwich with jalapeño cheddar sausage and it was delicious. I was debating out loud if I wanted their hot BBQ instead of the standard sweet and decided to try it just as they prepared it with the sweet. I was delighted to get back to my rental to see they also included the hot in a cup and it was awesome. I chatted with the hostess/bartender/server as I left and had a great conversation. I would definitely come back.”
